Today’s Top Ten Tuesday focuses on book cover trend elements that we either like or dislike. I’m sticking to the ones that I like as they always say, ‘you should never judge a book by its cover’. Yet somehow we always do.
- Single word title.
- Black and White with only one colour
- Tattoos
- Beautiful…..
- Food images
- Black backgrounds
- Single items
- Faceless men (adds to the mystery)
- A combination of all of the above
Examples:
Bookshelf Dreaming 
As a fellow foodie, food images on covers are the best! It’s unfortunate that these are usually limited to cookbooks and the like. I’ll be forever waiting on the day when the next big blockbuster trilogy has food on the cover (we can say that the protagonist is a foodie, too).
