Top Ten Resolutions For 2016

Top Ten Resolutions For 2016 β€” bookish, blogging or otherwise!

1) Complete this years Goodreads reading challenge
70 books… shouldn’t be too hard

2) Shorten ARC List
Read some more ARCs

3) Improve my Goodreads average rating score.
I currently sits at 3.78. While this may be high for some people. During 2015 it has slowly decrease. Need to find some good books to read.

4) Read more of my paperback collection.
This seems to be growing faster than I can read them. To help with this I have set a challenge to read at least 30 this year.

5) Complete blog make over
This is something I started last year and I would really like to finish it so all my blog posts are in the same format and it all likes nice and pretty.

6) Improve my ARC listing system
Currently I write all ARCs received on random pieces of paper. This is not helping with my organisation. I once started an excel spread sheet but that is long gone. Somebody else suggested Trello and then I can just move cards around on different boards. Maybe this might be the go for me.

7) Get a job
A much as I love all this free time to read books, I do need money to buy them and do all the other things that I want to do.

8) Clean out all my social media accounts
There are pages that I probably no longer like, people I no longer follow and all those items that I just skip over cause I can’t be bothered are going. Social detox

9) Move out of home
Whether with friends or on my own, only time will tell

10) Be Happy

Bonus: Reduce TBR list
Based on Goodreads the list currently sits at 1159. WOW! Didn’t realize it was so many. Time to read a few and probably even delete some that no longer interest me

  1. We totally have the same Goodreads Average score πŸ˜› Which I find is weird for me personally because I think I usually give most books a 4. But I love the idea of reading more of what you want and will like than “meh” reads.

I use Trello to keep track of review due dates and the like. It’s super nice and very flexible (like you can have checklists for individual items so you won’t forget to send/post a review somewhere). I also have a word document that is a calendar and I just write down what posts are posting when, what books are due at the library and when I ARC reviews are released. I find that super helpful as well!

    Good luck!

    1. Ok having the same Goodreads score is a little freaky in a weird way. I thought it was strange to since I was rating books highly and then last year read some total duds. Maybe together we can improve our scores

I’m still old fashioned have a diary where I write down my blogs posts and reviews. But Trello seems to be the go with the ARC list. Plus I can also look at it on my phone too when I need to look at something quickly. Now to figure out how to use it.
