Suck by Nikki Belaire
Suck, Bang, Blow #1

Synopsis

Reece Diavolo. They call him The Devil behind his back, and when the vicious mob boss sees the bride at his cousin’s wedding he decides there won’t be a marriage after all that day…because now she belongs to him.

Macy Shaw. They call her The Mouse to her face, and when the goodest of good girls learns her blackmailing fiancé has disappeared she’s relieved…until she realizes her savior is even more dangerous than the groom.

Author’s note: Suck is short, sweet, and dirty, filled with all the best parts of a romance for a fun two-hour read. No triggers or cliffhangers and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Review

I loved Suck so much. I don’t how the author did it but despite only been a novella the story is in no way lacking in quality.

Our hero, Reece comes into save the day by stopping an arranged marriage between his cousin and Macy all because we wants her. It may seem a bit dominating, however he is so sweet with Macy. The real people she needed saving from were her parents, they were all for themselves never mind what their daughter wanted.

Reece and Macy’s story is really sweet, but also steamy. Glad they got their HEA

Synopsis

Foster Kavanaugh, former Navy SEAL, knows what it’s like to be the top dog, the man in charge, the one calling the shots. Now that he’s running his own security consulting firm, not much has changed.

Except the curvy blonde he hired as his office manager.

Noelle Davis has been through the damn ringer. Swearing off men after escaping a toxic relationship, she’s grateful for a fresh start—new job included. Except her job isn’t tranquil and calm. In fact, it’s quite the opposite because her boss is the most infuriating man on the planet.

And, not to mention, sexy as hell.

Foster has limits. Rules. No attachments allowed because he doesn’t do love—and Noelle Davis foiled that plan and took a red pen to his list of rules. With her smart mouth and quick witted banter, he found the woman beginning to creep past his defenses.

When circumstances put Noelle in a perilous position, the first person to come to her rescue is none other than Foster Kavanaugh. She gets to see the man in action—not as her aggravating boss, but the man who will stop at nothing to keep her safe.

The same man who makes her want to reconsider her self-imposed embargo of men.

The man she wants to get to know now that she’s seen another side of him.

The man who makes her want…more.

But is more possible when you’re OUT OF LOVE?

Review

Oh wow! This is my second RC Boldt book for the year and she was a new to me author for this year too. I just love the authors writing style and characters. She really knows how to draw you in and grip you from the very start.

I instantly fell in love with Foster and Noelle and I loved watching their relationship unfold. It was like watching two friends, who secretly loved each other finally get together. Their relationship felt that real to me. I never wanted the story to end. I’m so glad that they were able to get their happy ending after everything that they go through.

Synopsis

I’ve never been afraid of the dark…but that doesn’t mean I wanted to live in it. And maybe everyone wants what they can’t have, but I should’ve thought it over before I accepted the key and unlocked the door to their forbidden world.

Number One is mostly silent. He watches me with them very carefully. His gaze never wanders. His interest never wanes.

Number Two is mostly gentle. But it’s the other side of him I like best. The wild side.

Number Three is mostly reserved. He refuses to cross the line. Even when I beg.

It was carnal, it was sensual, and it was erotic. That’s it. That’s all it was supposed to be. A trip into the dark. A peek into the forbidden.

I just didn’t expect to like them.

Review

This book is all kinds of naughty and I love it. I love that the author took a risk with this story and was brave enough to introduce the reader into a forbidden world of darkness and ones’ darkest desires.

Bric, Quinn and Smith, while all different to their own right, really brought story together. There was just something about their unusual friendship that made me want to keep reading. I wanted to know what their deepest secrets were and why they did things they way that they did. It was exciting to find at the real reason.

Then comes along a surprise in the form of Chella, and now we have one very interesting story indeed.

Oh My! I was not expecting the coupling to go the way it did.

Then the ending was really something all together again.

Synopsis

Reed
I’d come to accept the predictable routine of my life until I saw her ass in those riding pants. Constance Montgomery…damn, with her legs spread on the leather of the saddle has my mouth watering and things inside me shift. Seems my program is about to change. All the years of indifference to any female form all come tumbling down. My hard rule to never get involved with a student is about to be broken. With her.

Constance
Reed Sawyer is at the top of his game. An elite equestrian trainer with looks to kill and he’s staring straight at me. Only, he’s not my trainer because my parents make all those decisions. I’m tired of being under my parent’s thumb. Maybe it’s time I pushed the envelope a little. And Reed Sawyer looks like just the right wall to start pushing on.

A naïve, sheltered girl. A brooding, perfectionist with years of pent up need. The sparks fly. The walls come down. Hot lessons are learned.

Review

I enjoyed this story and the authors different take on the whole student/teacher romance. The author has created beautiful characters with Reed and Constance and I really liked them as a couple. Even the secondary characters were great, well most of them. One of them just ticked me the wrong way and now I know why.

While this story is short, it still packs a punch in all the right places.

She’s way out of his league but he’s hellbent on proving he can be everything she needs and more. Passions boil over after another late night exchange ends with Stone’s hand down his pretty new neighbor’s impossibly short sleep shorts. But does love exist beyond their shared bedroom wall? Or are they destined to only be an unforgettable one-night stand?

Review

After reading this book I will never be able to look at a construction worker the same way. Stone was one dirty talking alpha male and was determined to get everything his way, including his neighbour Paige. I loved Stone and Paige together. Their relationship was so sweet, yet so hot at the same time.

This story is insta-love in abounds and oh so hot and goody. The perfect quickie read to fill in an hour.

Synopsis

Clam Jam
Definition: the female equivalent of a cock block.
Example: You’re chatting with a guy you’re interested in and your friend comes along and lays claim to him.
Maggie
That’s my life except it’s worse. My friend who keeps jamming me is my gay roommate, and if that isn’t a W.T.F. moment, I’m not sure what is.
Fact: He went home with three yes, three of the guys I had been so sure were into me.
Fact: He’s really pissing me off. I mean, hello? I’m trying to get back in the saddle, but I’ll never manage to get a boyfriend before the age of fifty if he keeps this up.
Fact: Secretly, I wonder what it would be like if he weren’t gay. Why do all the hot, sweet, tender-hearted guys have to be gay?
Fact: My gay-dar needs a serious tune-up.
Ry
The day I interviewed for the room to rent, everything changed. I knew I had met the girl, except there was one small problem: she didn’t want anything to do with men. I recognized a top-notch force field when I saw one. She’d been burned badly and didn’t want to deal with a heterosexual guy as a roommate. I could’ve turned around and found another place to live, but I wanted to live there with her.
So I had to go undercover.
Fact: I’m in love with my roommate.
Fact: I’m a likely candidate for carpal tunnel surgery since all the action I’ve had for the past year has been my hand.
Fact: She’s going to hate me if I come clean now.
Fact: I’m not giving up. Which means I’ll just have to continue to run defense until I figure out a way to get Maggie to see the real me.
The me that loves her.
The me that would never do her wrong.
Until then, I’ll keep running off every guy who shows any interest.
Until then, I’ll continue to Clam Jam.

Review

As soon as I read the title of this book I knew I had to read it and then the blurb totally sold me. It made me laugh and be curious at the same time. How was this ever going to make out and would it all be for the better in the end?

With so many questions I settled into Clam Jam and what I an enjoyable read it was. Ry and Maggie were just perfect and their story either left me laughing or swooning. It was just that good. Sarah and Jack were also wonderful characters.

While some moments in the story felt a little cheesy and over the top to me, they worked for the story and I’m thankful for that.

Synopsis

The second I saw her, I had to have her.

When my friend asked me to cover for him at his pool cleaning job, I figured I’d make some extra cash. I didn’t expect to find myself face to face with a sweet set of curves named Vera.
Then she started strutting around in her bikini.
I guess her goal is to piss her rich dad off. I’m clearly not the kind of guy he wants her near.
But if she thinks I’ll let her toy with me and not follow through… I’ve got a surprise for her.
A huge surprise that wants to rip through my pants.
I’ll screw her in the pool shed, the garden, and right in her room while her parents sleep down the hall.
I don’t care if her dad finds out or not—this girl is MINE.

Review

Hello pool boy! If I had a pool, I would love if James was my pool boy.

Right from the get go I was totally sucked into this story and couldn’t get enough of it. The characters and story were so easy that I never wanted it to end. There was just something about Vera and James that really made them standout. Even thou they seemed so different and from different worlds, they just fitted perfectly together. I think I was cheering them on the whole time I was reading the book. When they finally did get together, I had to go have a cold shower; it was just that hot.

Can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.

Synopsis

Yakaterinka Rukovsky, or Russia, as he called her, was perfect and a hundred times better in the net than Jake Holliday could ever hope to be. For the past two years, she had stolen the spotlight from him. But this year, his last year of college, he intended to steal it back from her so that he could have his chance at the NHL.

Getting her to quit college was Jake’s only hope. And he would have if it wasn’t for what happened the weekend before the season began. After what happened that night, Jake was left with two choices: either keep the truth to himself or confess everything, and ruin any chance he had at the NHL.

The more that Jake got to know Russia, the more he realized that he might have to sacrifice his own hopes and dreams of a better life for her. How could Jake keep the truth of what happened that night from her when he was falling in love with her?

Review

I was really enjoying this book until the end. The story sucked me in and I couldn’t get through it fast enough. But the ending just left me confused and angry. I want to know what happened between Jake and Russia from the end of the story to 5 years into the future. I mean why did she do what she did? Why give it all up after everything that she had been through? Why not hear Jake out? I thought their love was like no other and then she leaves without a word. WTF? Seriously.

Then they meet in the future and bamn, end of story again. I feel like this story is unresolved for me. After been drawn in I want to know if they can even resolve their issues. There is something that she mentions when she sees Jake after 5 years and now I’m left wondering what happened in those years.

NB: I have now discovered that there will be a second part this story. Hopefully some of my questions will now be answered

Synopsis

It was the stupidest dare I’d ever taken in my life.

I wish I could blame alcohol—I wish I could blame anything but my own damn curiosity.

But when everyone kept saying that Loche Johnson has literally THE biggest… well, “Johnson” of any professor at our college, that he used to do porn and there’s a birthmark on his hip that proved it, I got skeptical. My friends pressed me to ask him. So I sacked up and did.

The rumors are true—porn star Johnson is real. I was just supposed to look, but then he gave me his infuriatingly cocky smirk and said that girls like me couldn’t handle guys like him.

Girls like ME?

We shouldn’t have slept together. And it should NOT have been amazing.

Now he keeps teasing me—in class, on campus, like he doesn’t care if we get found out. If anyone learns we hooked up, I’ll lose my scholarship. I’ll lose everything I worked so hard for.

I won the dare.

I’m not sure it was worth it.

Review

I really wanted to like this story more, but I felt that some parts just moved to quickly for me. One minute they were student/teacher and the next they were in a relationship. Did I miss something? I wanted a bit more fleshing out in their relationship to make it a little bit more believable for me.

Overall an enjoyable read and will be reading more from this author.

Review

Enter one junkie that will do anything to get her next fix; even going to the ‘Boss’s’ house to ask where her dealer/boyfriend is. Add to the mix one OCD drug dealer and what we have is one very interesting and captivating story.

Truthfully I wasn’t sure how this story was going to go or whether it would even work. I was just expecting some drug lord to keep supplying the junkie with her drug of choice and then use her as his personal whore. But what I got was so much more than that.

The author has created these wonderful and deep characters of Miri: the junkie and Jag: the Boss, that I never wanted their story to end. I was so captivated by everything that was going on. For some strange reason they just work for me, even if it should go against everything.

Now I’m intrigued to find out will happen next because that ending has left me begging for my next fix.
