A year and a half ago, the lead singer of garage rock band No Mercy mysteriously disappeared, and his girlfriend and band mate, Merry, never thought she’d see him again. She moved on and hooked up with the band’s lead guitarist. Then one day he stumbles back into her life and literally falls at her feet!

Noah Wilder returns with dark secrets and a curse—he’s become a werewolf. Merry is plunged into a world of monsters and deception and becomes caught in a love triangle. Can she help Noah break the grip the Dark Moon pack has on him, and will she be forced to choose between her new love and her high school sweetheart?

I’m a little at odds with this story. Was it enjoyable? Yes but it wasn’t anything memorable thou. I felt like the story was finishing up; and it could have and then the author decides it add a two weeks later section. Nothing wrong with that, but when reading it just felt like an add on not a continuation of the story.

The little mystery in the story is what keep me reading til the end, but overall I’m left wanting more.

{Review} How To Give Up Shopping

how to give up shopping

How to give up shopping (or at least cut down): The journey back to conscious spending by Neradine Tisaj
Read August 2016
2 stars

Read any finance book and it will tell you to spend less and save more. But a financial planner telling a shopaholic to simply save more money is like a marathon runner telling a morbidly obese person to just exercise more. Where do you start? How do you go from finding refuge in retail therapy to being able to walk past your favourite shop with your savings intact?

Stressed, time-poor and addicted to the buzz of a newly purchased item, Neradine Tisaj had a definite shopping problem. But when she decided to try to save, no one could offer her advice that related to her lifestyle. One planner told her to find a husband and live off the one salary. Another told her to stay in each Saturday night and eat boiled eggs. Determined to both enjoy life and save money, Neradine devised a plan to find a way back to conscious, healthy spending – without forgoing a busy social life. Packed with truly helpful tips and cheeky anecdotes,

HOW TO GIVE UP SHOPPING is for anyone who would like to save but also live. After all, man (an woman) does not live on boiled egg alone.

While this was an entertaining read, it still didn’t tell me anything that I didn’t already know. I commend the author for bravely discussing her shopping addiction with the world. While it was humorous in some parts, it all just basically came down to common sense. Well that I what I got from the overall story.

Derek aka Phoenix is a New York City firefighter and has dedicated his life to saving people. When he loses two of his men in the line of duty, he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to see the light again.

However, when an angel in the form of a woman named Fia appears before him, his world as he knows it is turned upside down.

Fia has been working hard to make money so she can finish her last semester of school. A fire in her building sets her back to square one, but the fireman who saves her turns out to be more than she ever expected.

Once he gets his arms around her, there’s no letting go. Because when you’ve got your forever in your arms, nothing else matters.

I liked the idea of this story but after I finished reading it, I was just left feeling meh. It was good and all but it just wasn’t overly great either. I guess I just didn’t really connect with this story unlike some of the author previous books that I have read.

Greer Karas has been mine since the first day I saw her.
I walked away because she deserved better than I could offer, but I always planned to come back and stake my claim when the time was right.
But true to form, Greer wasn’t willing to wait. She threw down a challenge, and I’m meeting her head-on. I’m not walking away this time because sometimes you have to fight dirty for love.

After the cliffhanger at the end of Dirty Girl, I couldn’t wait to get my hands of Dirty Love. And it didn’t disappoint. Dirty Love starts where the previous book ends; and what an ending that was. I was really feeling for Greer. But I still wanted her to end up with Cav. There is just something about him that makes him so lovable.

Yet the secrets just keep coming and some of them where massive and some were totally not what I was expecting at all. But I loved them all just the same.

I was glad that Cav and Greer got their happy ending because when they are together, I swear my kindle was going to melt.

Um… Did I miss something? This book was over before I even released it. I love this author, but this story just didn’t no it for me. Maybe that’s because I felt that there really wasn’t much of a story. It felt more like one really long sex scene and then it was over.

I do really like the cover thou, but overall this story left me untouched.

I was drawn to this book because of the blurb and it sounded like an interesting spin of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. However it fell a little short of more. I was expecting something a little more from the story and the characters. Maybe it was just a little too short for me. By the time I was really get into, it just ended.

Overall there was good character develop and the sex scenes were very hot for what little there is of the story.

We’ve all been that girl.

Maybe you did a little social media stalking to check him out. Maybe you just drove by his house to see if he was home. Maybe you took it a step further and followed him once or twice.

We’ve all gone a little crazy over a guy before.

I went a little crazy. That’s how Archer Ware ended up tied to the bed. I should probably feel bad about it, and maybe once I get what I want, I will. But right now he’s mine, and that’s all I care about.

This isn’t the forced submission story you’re used to. Valentina will stop at nothing to have the man she wants, and Archer can only take what she gives.

Warning: This book contains an obsessed heroine at threat-level red, a sexy billionaire with a secret of his own, and a story so hot, firefighters can’t put out the flames.

Not responsible if firefighters show up looking to help you out.

I’m not really sure what to think about this story. While it did seem a little bit over the top and unbelievable it was still an enjoyable story.

I was just getting into when the POV changed. I don’t mind dual, triple or even multi POV when it adds more depth to the story. However with this story and the POV change, I was just reading the same story from the other main characters perspective. I was hoping that the story would continue from the hero’s POV, but it didn’t.

After that I didn’t really care what the characters did next. Shame really; it could have been a good story otherwise.

I really thought I was going to enjoy this book more, but for some reason it just fell flat for me.

The synopsis was really promising and I couldn’t wait to find out more about these characters and while the start draw me into the story, it felt like more a chore to read it then not.

About 10% in a had a pretty good idea who Autumn’s husband was and by about 60% I was about to give up and DNF because I could pretty much see how the story was going to end.

I like Autumn and Gabe together but somethings annoyed me. While Autumn doesn’t really trust men she sure trusted Gabe pretty quick and Gabe was determined to start a relationship with Autumn even thou he prefers to take his time with getting to know people. I just seemed conflicting to the characters personalities.

While there were some parts that were entertaining, overall this story just didn’t really grab my attention like I was hoping for.

I liked where this story was going but it was just way too short. It felt like a was reading more of an outline for a novel rather than an actual book. I really felt like it could have been fleshed out lot more.

In saying that, I did enjoy the stories and characters that the author has created and will be checking out the rest of the books in the series.

Daddy William has been so busy with work that his little Haley has been acting out for attention.

He plans two weeks away from everything, and it’s absolutely perfect. A sandy beach, Haley in tiny bikinis, and lots of DD/lg time.

What they don’t expect is little Haley feeling she may be missing out on other things in life.

Can Daddy William let his little find her way on her own? Will Haley have second thoughts about her lifestyle?

Book two in the Innocence series is just what you’ve been begging for.

Warning: Serious DD/lg play, which includes but is not limited to: spanking, unicorn stuffed-animal play, anal, cake pops, oral, and lots of dirty talk.

NOTE: Innocent Getaway isn’t role play… Haley embraces her inner child and loves to be a brat. While William adores it, not everyone does. This is full time DD/lg and relationship.

I tried. I really did try but I just couldn’t get over Haley been such a brat. Even thou a year has pasted since the end of the previous book, she’s even more of child now than ever. It was starting to piss me off a little.

I was expecting more DD/lg involvement but they have embraced the life style full time. It was just to over board for me and took away some of the enjoyment of reading this story.

However Daddy William still holds some charm and some of the sex is still hot, but I was still looking for more depth to the story.
