Synopsis:

“All my life, I battled with the knowledge I was twisted… screwed up to want something so deliciously dark—wrong on so many levels. But then slave fifty-eight entered my world. Hissing, fighting, with a core of iron, she showed me an existence where two wrongs do make a right.”

Tess is Q’s completely. Q is Tess’s irrevocably. But now, they must learn the boundaries of their unconventional relationship, while Tess seeks vengeance on the men who sold her. Q made a blood-oath to deliver their corpses at Tess’s feet, and that’s just what he’ll do.

He may be a monster, but he’s Tess’s monster.

This is a story of eroticism, horror, and sweet tragedy. It contains graphic scenes, but there’s always light in the darkness.

Review:

I just don’t think that I have the words to do this book justice. I mean I’m still trying to get my head around everything that happened. This book was just one huge emotional roller coaster.

I just couldn’t put it down and when I did, I soon wanted to be reading it again. Somewhere in this dark twisted world I fell in love with Q and Tess, two equally twisted and damaged character. I left everything that they felt. Pepper paints such a vivid world with her writing that I’m instantly transported to another world.

Quintessentially Q is so dark and twisted, but I loved everything about it. It was the perfect continuation of Q and Tess’s story. After everything that they went through in Tears of Tess, I was hoping for a happier story. But it was not to be. I didn’t want things to get worse, but they did. How is it possible for someone to go through so much and have to do it all over again. My heart wept for Tess.

Q is also much darker in this story and we get to see some of what he is capable of but I know he can still go darker. You can see glimpses of it but it’s never enough.

Quintessentially Q is the perfect sequel and I never wanted to end. Yet at the same time I did because I wanted see Q and Tess have their happy ending. However the author stole that from me too. Loved the epilogue by Pepper. Alas I will have to read the next book to find that happy ending.

Synopsis:

Meg Corbyn is on the run. Alone and desperate, she stumbles into the Lakeside Courtyard, where the Others reside. Meg knows entering a Courtyard is a dangerous risk – most people who tangle with the Others end up dead – but it’s the only place she’ll be safe from the people chasing her.

For Simon Wolfgard, leader of the Others residing in Lakeside, Meg is a puzzle and he has to decide if she is worth the fight to keep her in the Courtyard. It will be a fight not just with the humans hunting her down, but with some of the Others – as well as a fight with his own confusing feelings towards Meg.

For Police Officer Montgomery, Meg is the property he’s supposed to recover – and the spark that could start a confrontation with the Others that would wipe out the human city of Lakeside.

And for Meg, who has seen her own future, living in the Courtyard is a chance to have a life – for what little time she has left.

Review:

There is nothing I didn’t like about this book. I just feel in love with everything; the characters, the plot and the world that Anne Bishop can so easily create.

While there are a lot of characters in the story and names to remember, it doesn’t get messy and everything is easy to follow. The plot doesn’t lag and there is a surprise upon every turn of the page.

I found it was the prefect fantasy read, with a bit a paranormal thrown in just to keep things interesting.

Synopsis:

An ambitious intern. A perfectionist executive. And a whole lot of name calling.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate—and completely irresistible. A Beautiful Bastard.

Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative—completely infuriating—creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules—or outright smash them—if it means he can have her. All over the office.

As their appetites for one another increase to a breaking point, Bennett and Chloe must decide exactly what they’re willing to lose in order to win each other.

Originally only available online as The Office by tby789 and garnering over 2 million reads on fanfiction sites, Beautiful Bastard has been extensively updated for re-release.

Review:

OMG! Finished this in two days and still want more. It was so delicious, I just sunk in and stayed there. There is nothing bad I can say about this book. The story started from the first page and didn’t stop til I closed the book. The main characters were on fire and I love the clever use of different fonts to show both on their view points.
Don’t be fooled by the author; it is actually two different people. Nothing wrong with this, it didn’t stop me.
Will be waiting for the next one now
