Synopsis

Yakaterinka Rukovsky, or Russia, as he called her, was perfect and a hundred times better in the net than Jake Holliday could ever hope to be. For the past two years, she had stolen the spotlight from him. But this year, his last year of college, he intended to steal it back from her so that he could have his chance at the NHL.

Getting her to quit college was Jake’s only hope. And he would have if it wasn’t for what happened the weekend before the season began. After what happened that night, Jake was left with two choices: either keep the truth to himself or confess everything, and ruin any chance he had at the NHL.

The more that Jake got to know Russia, the more he realized that he might have to sacrifice his own hopes and dreams of a better life for her. How could Jake keep the truth of what happened that night from her when he was falling in love with her?

Review

I was really enjoying this book until the end. The story sucked me in and I couldn’t get through it fast enough. But the ending just left me confused and angry. I want to know what happened between Jake and Russia from the end of the story to 5 years into the future. I mean why did she do what she did? Why give it all up after everything that she had been through? Why not hear Jake out? I thought their love was like no other and then she leaves without a word. WTF? Seriously.

Then they meet in the future and bamn, end of story again. I feel like this story is unresolved for me. After been drawn in I want to know if they can even resolve their issues. There is something that she mentions when she sees Jake after 5 years and now I’m left wondering what happened in those years.

NB: I have now discovered that there will be a second part this story. Hopefully some of my questions will now be answered

Synopsis

It was the stupidest dare I’d ever taken in my life.

I wish I could blame alcohol—I wish I could blame anything but my own damn curiosity.

But when everyone kept saying that Loche Johnson has literally THE biggest… well, “Johnson” of any professor at our college, that he used to do porn and there’s a birthmark on his hip that proved it, I got skeptical. My friends pressed me to ask him. So I sacked up and did.

The rumors are true—porn star Johnson is real. I was just supposed to look, but then he gave me his infuriatingly cocky smirk and said that girls like me couldn’t handle guys like him.

Girls like ME?

We shouldn’t have slept together. And it should NOT have been amazing.

Now he keeps teasing me—in class, on campus, like he doesn’t care if we get found out. If anyone learns we hooked up, I’ll lose my scholarship. I’ll lose everything I worked so hard for.

I won the dare.

I’m not sure it was worth it.

Review

I really wanted to like this story more, but I felt that some parts just moved to quickly for me. One minute they were student/teacher and the next they were in a relationship. Did I miss something? I wanted a bit more fleshing out in their relationship to make it a little bit more believable for me.

Overall an enjoyable read and will be reading more from this author.

Synopsis

A sex contract seemed like a good idea, until she fell in love.

When Symone Esquire fails to woo her best friend into taking her virginity, his rejection is the catalyst that inspires her to create a sex contract with a local legend, a man nicknamed “The Cherry Popper”, to take her virginity instead.

Sid Cooperton is used to being solicited for sex, being the lead singer of a local rock band does have its perks . . . but when the nerdy, yet intriguing, Symone approaches him with a proposition to take her virginity in exchange for his college tutoring. It’s simply an offer he can’t refuse—even if his reputation for being a virginity exterminator is grossly exaggerated.

Symone wasn’t expecting anything more than a business relationship with Sid, but she soon realizes there’s so much more to her sex tutor than just sex. Matters become even more complicated when her once uninterested best friend, suddenly wants to take their relationship to the next level like she always wanted.

With the relationship she’s always dreamed of within her reach, Symone must make a decision: choose her best friend, the man she’s been in love with her whole life, or choose Sid, the man who has suddenly become the subject of all her fantasies.

The contract has been signed: Symone’s virginity for Sid’s B average.

It was supposed to be simple, until she broke his only rule.

Review

I don’t read many romantic comedies, but for some reason this one really appealed to me. There was just something in the synopsis that really got my attention that I immediately add it to my TBR pile and I’m glad that I did.

This book was one emotional roller coaster. I was mostly either smiling or laughing at some of the scene in this book, but there were also some deeper emotions too.

Symone and Sid were just perfect for each other. The author did I good job at making them feel like normal college kids going through the dramas of life. However the ending really left me wanting more. I can’t to find out what happens next.

Also I will never be able to look at a banana the same again…

Synopsis

My name is Thomas and I’m always hard.
No really, that’s my last name. Thomas Hard, the pleasure is all mine … literally.
I can’t help it that my name suits me well.
You know what else suits me well? That girl sitting across the bar, with her lips right where I tell them to be. I want her, and when I want something, it’s gonna be mine.
One night. No names. No phone numbers. Just me, her, and pure pleasure.
Except, that one girl turns out to be the biggest mistake of my life.
Why?
Because I broke my cardinal rule …
Never b*ng a student.

Review

There are not many student/teacher romances that they capture my attention, however Bad Teacher was anything but bad. I really liked this story. There was something about the characters that really draw me in and I was totally sucked into their world.

Thomas Hard was one really interesting professor. If I had teachers like that, I’m sure I would have attended all my classes. He had this mystery about him and when he past was revealed I was little shocked. There were hints along the way but nothing prepared me for his truth.

I was a little unsure about Haliey at the start, but I soon grew to love here.

I was very happy with how the author handled the end of the story after the truth had been revealed and that the main characters got a happy ending.

No, wait. We’re no longer just best friends…

Review

Sincerely, Arizona is an extended epilogue for Sincerely, Carter and was a short and sweet read about how they deal with their long distance relationship.

While it is a little on the short side for me, this story still had a lot of romance and we got to see how Carter and Ari handle been more then just friends. The ending of this is just too romantic for words.

Synopsis

Just friends.
We’re just friends.
No, really. She’s just my best friend…

Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we “hated” each other. We’ve been there for one another through first kisses, first “times,” and we’ve been each other’s constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other…)

Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we’ve never crossed the line.

Never thought about it.
Never wanted to.

Until one night changed everything.
At least, it should’ve …

Just friends.
We’re just friends.
I’m only saying this until I figure out if she’s still “just” my best friend…

Review

Sincerely, Carter has to be one of the best friends to lovers stories that I have read in a long time. The chemisty between the two Carter and Ari was just perfect and I couldn’t help but be drawn into their lives.

They start of hating each other, which soon becomes the longest friendship that they have ever had. Most people that they know that understand how they haven’t slept together. They keep saying that they are ‘just friends’ and don’t see each other as anything more. Until they don’t and then and fun really begins.

I loved reading about how they struggle with their true feelings for one another. It made them feel real. Also the dual POV really helped in understand how each of them felt.

I’m happy that they became something more than ‘just friends’.

Review

I liked where this story was going but it was just way too short. It felt like a was reading more of an outline for a novel rather than an actual book. I really felt like it could have been fleshed out lot more.

In saying that, I did enjoy the stories and characters that the author has created and will be checking out the rest of the books in the series.

Review

I really enjoyed Awakening Desire. There was was something about the characters and the little mysteries in the story line that just draw me in and keep me reading til the end. I was sucked in so much that I ended up reading the story in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down.

I loved Daniel first up but both Ann and Eli took I while to warm up to me and when they did I was off reading the story as fast as I could. I didn’t want to miss a moment of the action. I’m sad now that it’s over. I want to know more.

I was happy that we got to see what all the characters were thinking at different points in the story. While this may not be to everyone’s liking, it did help understand their actions more.

I only down side was some of the grammatical errors. They were a little off putting at some stages, but not enough for me to put the book down thou. Will be reading more from this author.

Synopsis

Dirty
A poem by Blaire Leon

If sex is dirty, why would I do it with someone I love?
If sex is dirty, then didn’t we all come from the dirt?
What if I like the dirt?
What if I want to get dirty?
What if I want to roll in the mud until I’m so fucking filthy that I’ll never be clean again?

When twenty-five-year-old graduate assistant Caiden Brenner asked Blaire Leon how old she was, she said she was a senior. He chose to believe she meant in college. They connect over Lord Byron’s Don Juan and, as their conversations become increasingly thicker with sexual innuendo, Caiden finds himself obsessing over a totally off-limits undergrad who’s bold, beautiful, brilliant, and one of the most passionate poets he’s ever met.

But it turns out Blaire hasn’t been totally honest. She’s the seventeen-year-old valedictorian of her high school class, taking courses at Sierra State while awaiting her acceptance to Stanford.

Will Caiden get too deeply into Blaire to back away before he finds out the truth? Or will their connection be enough to seduce him into risking his entire future on Jail Bait?

Review

This is just the book I needed to get me out of my reading funk. It was a little bit naughty but a whole lot of fun. The more taboo the better for me.

Now this story is not for everyone. If you don’t like anything taboo, then I think you might want to skip over this one. But just know that deep down this is a love story unlike anything I have read for a while. Under all the taboo subjects and society rules are two people who really love each other and really just want to be together. Even if their relationship is doomed from the start.

I loved everything about this book. The story and characters were beautifully written and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened in the end. And what a beautiful ending it was. Just magical.
