{Meme} Top 10 Books I’ve Read So Far This Year

I have being reading other book bloggers’ Top Ten lists before for I even started my own blog/ However I have never attempted one til now. So here goes the first of many… I hope.

My top ten books that I’ve read so far this year will be based on their rating and not when I read them.

1) Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful 1)
I read this book last year and just had to read it again. There is nothing to fault with this novel. I think I just feel in love with it more the second time around.

2) Tangled (Tangled 1)
Male POV novel. Need I say more?

3) This Man (This Man 1)
The Lord is in the house.  This story had some strong theme, but I’m glad I saw it through

4) Deviant (Blood & Roses 1)
This is my first dark romance novel. Therefore I will always remember it.

5) Beg (Songs of Submission 1)
The introduction to a beautiful addiction and CD Reiss. Brilliant author.

6) Murder of Crows (The Others 2)
Everything Anne Bishop does is perfect. I just love the fantasy world that she creates. Nothing can beat them

7) What He Wants
My first M/M novel. Ya this was a bit of an eye opener. But it didn’t turn me off. The writing, characters and the story were so pure, that it only made me want to read more m/m novels. It really has opened me up to a new category.

8) Lick (Stage Dive 1)
When reading romance novel, I tend to lead towards the hero being a business man of some sort. But when I found out this was by an Aussie author, I just had to read. Glad I did. Will be reading the rest of the series.

9) Night After Night (Seductive Nights 1)
Addictive and pure bliss.

10) After This Night (Seductive Nights 2)
Even more addictive and more bliss.

Synopsis

Waking up in Vegas was never meant to be like this.

Evelyn Thomas’s plans for celebrating her twenty-first birthday in Las Vegas were big. Huge. But she sure never meant to wake up on the bathroom floor with a hangover to rival the black plague, a very attractive half-naked tattooed man in her room, and a diamond on her finger large enough to scare King Kong. Now if she could just remember how it all happened.

In Kylie Scott’s Lick, one thing is certain: being married to one of the hottest rock stars on the planet is sure to be a wild ride.

Review

What to say… I’ve been staring at the cover wondering what to write.
This is one of those books where I wish I could read it for the first time again. Loved everything about it. I felt everything that the character were feeling; it felt so real.
I powered through the last half of the book because I just couldn’t put it down.
I have been looking for something to fill the rock star gap since reading the thoughtless series and I believe I found it here.
I will be totally reading the rest of the series. How could you not with such yummy looking covers.

For those that are wondering where the title comes from. I know I was til I read this line in the book

“Play that lick again, Dave.”

Lick: In rock music, a lick is “a stock pattern or phrase” consisting of a short series of notes that is used in solos and melodic lines.
