Sometimes your first love doesn’t equal your true love.Jason Sladerman is Charlie’s one. For him, she would adjust to a new city, deal with sudden fame and fandom, and change her life. But never did she think she’d have to tolerate sudden obsession.

Yet that is what Reagan Wescott feels for Charlie’s man. She infiltrated Charlie’s life, made her believe in their friendship, but only to get closer to Slade. Charlie knows, and is finally starting to trust her instincts, that Reagan is manic over him, stalking him, sick over him.

Until the email.

Now Charlie doesn’t know who’s true and who’s false, who loves her and who hates her. Her one true friend, Lara, is too preoccupied with her own love life to notice Charlie’s faltering. Slade’s too involved in proving his innocence to notice the danger. Reagan doesn’t care about anyone but Slade and will do anything to get to him. And Nate wants Charlie so much he turns a blind eye to everything but her.

Their misguided dreams are their greatest mistake. Murder’s on the horizon, and while everyone holds on tight to their sacred wishes, someone uses that chance to sneak by.

And kill.

In Ketley Allison’s fourth installment of the Snapped Novella Series, the question is no longer who will snap, but who did.

This story had me so twisted around I didn’t know which way to look.

Oh Slade! I don’t know what to think about him. There is just something about him that is really getting on my nerves. I mean he puts on a good face when he has to, but the keep getting this feeling that there is something dark lurking in his soul. He believes what he wants to make himself look and feel good no matter the cost to others. I’m slowly starting to hate him a little. His just… blah I don’t know, but it’s not a good feeling.

I’m somewhat sorry for Charlie that no one believes what see can see so clearly. She is defending herself so hard but I just falling on deaf ears. And the bullshit everyone keeps feeding her; can’t they see what they are doing to her. Well maybe not Nate. Still unsure about him. Maybe he is not as bad as I first thought. Will have to wait and see.

Then the party to top all parties. What happens at the party should stay at the party, but is never how the saying really goes. Someone is bound to find out and then everyone will know. Secrets are bound to be discovered in the future.

This series is getting better and better with each book that I read. Can’t wait to read more.

Reading this series is like returning to a group of old friends that you haven’t seen in a long time. After finished reading the previous book in the series, I couldn’t wait to read the next one.

Fletcher and Bayler’s story was really enjoyable. They were really well matched and were perfect for each other. Both are scared of commmiting to a relationship so they come up with their own rules to label their ‘relationship’. Just when everything seems to be going perfectly, they start to have ‘real’ feelings for each other and both are too scared to tell the other for fear of losing each other and what they have together.

Men are always going to look at women, but the only ones we truly see are the ones we love

While I felt some of the story was a little flat and was not really needed, it was still an enjoyable read and everything flowed smoothly.

Again this story is a flow on from the events in the first book in the series, so it was good to see all the characters from the first two book again. They had more to the story line and you get to see them develop more. While this story can be read as a standalone, it is more enjoyable to read the book in order.

Can’t wait for the next one in the series and to see how the rest of the group fall in love in the city.

After reading the first book, I couldn’t wait to read this one and just had to read it one sitting. I was not disappointed at all. Loved everything and couldn’t be happier with the ending. Life and love is never easy and Clay and Julia have provided that in abundance. A must read.

Night After Night (Seductive Nights, #1)Night After Night by Lauren Blakely

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Just wait a minute til my heart stops racing… Now it’s still going. There is nothing I hate about this book. I just loved everything about it. The characters are great, both main and sub and the story line was going places.

Clay is just as hot, if not even hotter than before. The man loves kink just because he can. Which is so refreshing, since most of the kinky lead males I have read previously have some issues that makes them that way. Not there is anything wrong with them, but sometimes a change is nice.

Warning there is a bit of a cliff hanger and you will have to read the next book to find out what happens.

Jesse Ward drowned her with his intensity and blindsided her with his passion, but he kept her away from his dark secrets and broken soul. Leaving him was the only way Ava O’Shea could survive. She should have known that Jesse Ward is impossible to escape–and now he’s back in her life, determined to remind her of the sensual pleasures they had shared. Ava is equally determined to get at the truth beneath this man’s steely exterior. That means letting herself get close to the Lord of the Manor once more. And it’s exactly where Jesse wants her–within touching distance…

Jesse and Ava’s story continues in ‘beneath this man’. Everything I liked about the first book in the ‘this man’ series applies to the second book in the series.
Their relationship is getting more intense and at some points a little suffocating. Ava is unsure as to whether she should stay and break her heart even further. How much heart ache can one person really suffer?
Jesse starts to show his true colours and we get to learn more about his colourful past. However is may be his past that becomes the ultimate undoing with his relationship with Ava.

Reading Jesse’s POV at the end of the novel is always something exciting to look forward to. If only they were a bit longer.

Welcome to the sensual world of This Man…

Young interior designer Ava O’Shea has no idea what awaits her at the Manor. A run-of-the-mill consultation with a stodgy country gent seems likely, but what Ava finds instead is Jesse Ward – a devastatingly handsome, utterly confident, pleasure-seeking playboy who knows no boundaries.

Ava doesn’t want to be attracted to this man, and yet she can’t control the overwhelming desire he stirs in her. She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

#2.1 Jesse’s POV – The Age Reveal
#3 This Man Confessed

This Man is Jesse Ward and he is one smoking hot Lord of the Manor. He also needs the extension to the manor redecorated.

Enter Ava, a young interior designer who thinks that the manor is not really her thing and thinks it would be better for one of the more traditional designers from the company she works for. However she has been specially requested. Thinking she is off to meet some stuck-up old country gentlemen, she is surprised instead to find a handsome, no boundaries playboy running the ‘hotel’.
Their attraction is undeniable. But what starts as a bit of fun, so becomes something much more. Ava is way in over her hand, and must escape to save her mind and her heart. Yet this becomes harder and harder as Jesse is determined to have her and will stop at nothing to pose her.

Loved Ava so much, but loved Jesse even who. They just seems to click really well. The other characters in the book are a delight too.

Also liked reading the bonus scene from Jesse’s point of view. Very enlightening. Wasn’t sure if I would at first, but glad I did. I love reading into the mind of the leading men. It good to know what they are thinking for a change

When rich, handsome, and arrogant meets beautiful, brilliant, and ambitious, things are bound to get tangled

Drew Evans makes multimillion-dollar business deals and seduces New York’s most beautiful women with just a smile. So why has he been shuttered in his apartment for seven days, miserable and depressed? He’ll tell you he has the flu, but we all know that’s not really true.

When Katherine Brooks is hired as the new associate at Drew’s father’s investment banking firm, every aspect of the dashing playboy’s life is thrown into a tailspin. The professional competition she brings is unnerving, his attraction to her is distracting, his failure to entice her into his bed is exasperating.

How can one woman turn a smooth-talking player into a broken, desperate man? By making the one thing he never wanted in life the only thing he can’t live without.

Tie me up and bend me over. Drew Evans is in the house. oh, I absolutely loved this book.

Meet Drew Evans, he has the flu. Well at least that is what he is telling you because no guy would ever admit to having a broken heart.

“Do you see that unshowered, unshaven heap on the couch? The guy in the dirty gray T-shirt and ripped sweatpants? That’s me, Drew Evans. I’m not normally like this. I mean, that really isn’t me.”

However our hero wasn’t always like this.

“See that guy – black suit, devilishly handsome? Yeah, the guy getting the blow job from the luscious redhead in the bathroom stall? That’s the real me. MBF: Me Before Flu.”

Drew is the ultimate playboy. He makes multimillionaire dollar business deals, is handsome and has women falling at his feet.

“But here’s a fact for you – once I’m done, I’m done. I’m not the kind of guy who rides the same roller coaster twice. Once is enough, and then the thrill is gone and so is the interest.”

Yet this all means nothing when he meets a beautiful brunette at a club one night. Only to discover on Monday morning that she is a new employee at his place of work. Enter Kate Brooks. She is Drew’s equal in every way. Their interactions along the way are so enjoyable.

The novel is written through the eyes of Drew and is like having a conversation with him about everything that has happened leading up to him getting the flu. It really opens your eyes to how the man thinks. It was so addictive that I just had to keep reading it to find out what would happen and how Drew would describe certain events. There are even parts where it is so funny that you just have to laugh out loud.

When Jonathan was gone I couldn’t stop thinking about him, and the first thing he did when he got back was demand more of me. I’m willing to give him my orgasms and my time, but I find myself giving up pieces of my heart.

My career is on track, and even though I can’t write a thing, I can sing. So I’ll go to the art opening with him, because his ex wife will be there. I feel this need to protect him from hurt, though in bed, his domination brings me to my knees.

This man is going to break me into a million little pieces.

“Jonathan was master of my nudity, my positions, and my orgasms. and the first screw of the evening should have satisfied any normal woman for the night, minutes after it was done, I wanted him again.”

OMG is it possible for a book to get even better? Yep it can. Tease continues on from where beg finished.
With Johnathan gone all Monica can think about is what they did together and the undeniable pleasure it brings. It is messing with her life. However in a good way. Also Kevin, Monica’s ex is back in the scene. This makes for some interesting confrontations.
Johnathan is a little all over the place and I don’t know whether that makes for a good read or not. One part I just wanted to hold him, then the next slap some scene into him.
Jessica, his ex-wife, is the same. Although I’m putting her down us a bit a a bitch and someone that likes to get her own way. Can’t believe what she did to Monica at the end of the book. (you must read it because I ain’t giving nothing away)

Ethan Blackstone is all in. So in love with the second book in the Blackstone affair.

All In begins where Naked left off, however it is in Ethan’s point of view. Life is not easy for Ethan after he destroyed Brynne’s trust. Yet he is willing to do anything to get her back, and get her back he will. Upon renewing their relationship again, new rules are laid out by Brynne; she must always know the truth to truly trust Ethan. Ethan will do anything to keep his beautiful American girl by his side.

“When I reached for my girl and showed her how much I did indeed need her, and told her with words too, I knew then that the best gamble of my life had been not the cards I’d played but that one night on a London street, when a beautiful American girl tried to walk out in the dark, and I played the most important hand I’d ever been dealt and went… all in.”

Have you ever gone just a little too far?

Lexie Banks has.

Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it’s more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he’s been her best friend and confidant for the better part of the last few years … and is so off limits. It’s a good thing she’s leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome.

But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can’t seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt … and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the-eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro’s signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn’t know what to think. She’s torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn’t want and the man she can’t have. And she isn’t sure how she can live with herself either way.

I was so not expecting the book to finish the way that it did and now I want more. I wanna know what happens.

Lexie Banks is on the rebound from her cheating boyfriend and has drunken sex with her step brother. The only way to escape what she has done, is to leave for Rome and continue studying abroad. However it’s not as easy as it sounds. She still thinks about him all the time. Enter Alessandro Moretti, a priest in training. The more time they spend together the closer they seem to get, despite Alessandro’s vow of celibacy. The journey along the way is filled with ups and downs as everyone realizes what and who they want.

I was unsure about reading this book after people were saying that it is just wrong to read about step brothers and step sisters having sex. That’s just all the more reason to read; not the sex part but because I’ve been told not to read it. I don’t know what they are complaining about really, it just added more drama to the whole story. The story line is gripping and the characters were a joy.
